Gocek, which offers the blue voyage flawlessly, is connected to the town of Fethiye. It had the name Daidala in history and was a Lycian settlement. There are many historical artifacts in the region now under water. When the sea is clear, we can see these structures from the boat. The fact that Göcek Bay provides many geographical advantages desired for blue voyage has brought it to a world-famous position in a short time. You can rent a boat for a blue cruise or join daily tours in Göcek. Hundreds of bays in Gocek Bay are like a calm harbor and are very convenient for accommodation. Yassicalar, Yağane, Hacıhalil and Tersane islands are important islets. The bays and islands host many large and small boats from the spring. So much so that in some bays there are boats that stay until the autumn. Göcek and its immediate surroundings attract attention with their historical richness. Vacationers who want to see historical places and different places prefer Göcek hotels and rental villas in Göcek for accommodation. Because it is located in the middle of the western Mediterranean, it is easy to reach all places to visit. Vacationers staying in Gocek usually participate in 12 Island Tours that include the blue voyage in one day.

Gocek Bay and 12 Islands

It is one of the most beautiful gulfs of the Turkish coastline, where there are dozens of perfect coves hidden between large and small islands and mountains covered with towering and descending trees on the western side of the Fethiye Bay.

Under this title; We will look at Ağa Harbor (36 ° 37’06 “N – 28 ° 52’57” E) in the north east of Kapıdağ Peninsula and Göcek (36 ° 45’11 “N – 28 ° 56’08” E) at the foot of the mountains in the north.

It is one of the most important centers of yacht tourism with its sheltered bays, large and small, in deep water.

Its coasts are geographically within the areas of Göcek and Dalaman. They are generally untouched, untouched spots. There are roads connecting to Dalaman and Göcek in the west of the gulf.

It is possible to reach all kinds of needs within the region, which is at most 12 miles from south to north and at most 5 miles from east to west. Since the region is an intense tourism area, many possibilities are carried into the region.

The high depths in the bay go down to levels that allow anchoring and shelter in the bays. In general, bays that are closed to all weather conditions have the opportunity to switch to sheltered points close to each other even in the case of harsh conditions.

Transportation: Dalaman airport is only 25km away. It takes you half an hour from the airport to Göcek.

When we join our boat and go out to sea after shopping, we will anchor at the first swimming break and the bay where we will have a meal or tea, after a maximum of half an hour from the harbor.

Boynuz Bükü

The bay is indented to the west. The yachts anchor at these locations and take seats from the land. It is concentrated on both sides in summer.

There is a restaurant in the area covered with sweetgum trees at the end of the bay. According to historical sources, the island was inhabited as Telandria in the past. This place was one of the safest shelters of sailors in the Gulf of Fethiye during the Byzantine period. Just like in Kaya Village, after the Lausanne Treaty, it was evacuated with the 1922 population exchange and its residents had to migrate to Greece. Tersane Island is one of the indispensable places of the bay for an overnight and swimming break.

Sheep entrance is not visible from afar. The bay is reached by a channel from that narrow mouth. The depth of this channel is between 20 meters and 5-10 meters in the bay.

An important part of the bay, whose bottom structure is sand-moss, is shallow. For this reason, it is a narrow area in terms of accommodation. Especially the boats that will stay at night should anchor by taking precaution against strong winds and showers coming from the mouth of the bay from time to time.

The north shore of the bay and the southwestern corner of the mouth of the bay are suitable places to be land from the stern. In this area, it is necessary to throw the iron as far as possible and leave a sufficient safety distance between the boats.

At the same time, you can stay in the alley in the middle of the bay. However, this area is too narrow for boats to navigate, and if it is noticed late, it can create difficult situations in case of any dredging.

The bay is indentation in the southwest and shallow in the east. The shallowing in the middle of the bay ends in the collapsed old historical shipyard ruins in the east.

It is said that the island got its name from this shipyard. There are historical ruins on the shore.

Some parts of the island are olive groves. Since the local people leave their goats here, the goats are many and their voices are quite loud.

On the shore, among palm trees, there is a charming restaurant and facilities. There is also a pier in front of the restaurant where 15 boats will be connected by vaults.

Daily boats enter and exit the Tersane Cove intensely between 10.30-16.00 hours, anchoring and picking up. The bay is very beautiful in the summer time outside these hours. It is a place that should be lived in Gocek Bays in terms of its protection and special appearance.

Bedri Rahmi (Taşyaka) Koyu

When Halicarnassus Fisher started the first Blue Voyage in 1945, Bedri Rahmi was among the team. Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, one of the well-known intellectuals of the post-Republic era, was also a lover of sea and nature. He painted many pictures during the Blue Voyages (later collected in a book called “Blue Voyage Notebooks” published by İşbank). The fish painting he made on a large rock on the northern slope of Taşyaka bay during the journey to Göçek in 1974 is still renewed and kept alive by those who follow his footsteps. After that day, Taşyaka bend was named after Bedri Rahmi. This picture on the stone, whose main frame looks like a fish, actually depicts six animals inside, can be seen from the entrance of the bay. Right next to the stone, a very sweet spring water is mixed into the sea. Boats and yachts sometimes approach here for water supply.

On the shore, there is a wooden pier that can accommodate 20-25 boats, a nice restaurant, water and electricity from time to time. You can see 4-5 of the Lycian rock tombs on the northwest slope of Bükün. Besides these stone sarcophagi, the vast and insatiable view of Gocek inland sea and Fethiye gulf awaits you. The reason why it is called Hamam is the ruins of the baths that Cleopatra had built right by the sea when she came for vacation.

It is also called Kapı Cove because at the bottom of the bay there is a large wall that extends on the east-west line and extends past the ridges to another large bay on the open sea side and is in ruins today. This wall was built with great effort by Egyptian soldiers to protect their Queen. Various archaeological remains catch the eye on the southern ridges of the bay. If you dive into the baths of Cleopatra, you will see many different colors and types of crabs and fish.

The bay is a very special place that is closed to almost all weather, completely covered with trees, clear sea and small and large islets. There is a fish restaurant and a pier on the north side. Every morning, black and white goats coming from the mountains drink water from the fresh water source where the land meets the sea. Wild olive trees appear everywhere.

Cleopatra Bay is a very different bay with its special nature and archaeological ruins. Cleopatra’s spirit probably still wanders here at night.

Sıralıbük Limanı

It is a bay covered with pine trees, entering the west direction just north of Cape Martın.

The mouth of the bay is open to the east. It gets strong showers from the west. Deep bay usually barely holds iron.

You can stay in the funnel-shaped bay under the Martin Cape of the Siralbuk Harbor by giving seats on both sides. The end of the bay gets shallow and goes to a small beach area. It should not be too close to this part.

The beach area at the end of Siralibuk Port is a flat under olive trees. This plain continues in the sea with a slight inclination. Boats that will land from the stern must leave a distance from the shore. A seat is taken from the land with an anchor that will be thrown at 15 meters.

There are also two indentations on the northern slopes of the Siralbuk Harbor.

Another recess of the northern slope is wider and cleaner. In this location where the sea is deep, generally large yachts remain.

With its dark blue waters, Siralbuk Port is a different Gocek Bay.

Ağa Limanı

It consists of two parts in deep waters 1 mile north of Kızılkuyruk Cape. Anchor at 8-10 meters in front of the beach, which is squeezed between two slopes, and a seat is taken from the land. This location will breathe lightly.

The eastern part of Ağa Liman, which is more sheltered, Büyük Bay is quite deep and at some points there are rocks where our anchor can be attached. If a seat is taken from the beach part with the iron thrown in front of the big bay beach, it is safer to stay. Generally, showers descend from the hills above this beach. It is more advantageous to anchor in this way. However, this area is usually full. Apart from that, the boats anchor and take seats from both shores. Considering the downpours coming from the hills, it would be correct to give long slack to our iron. At the same time, it is necessary to leave a distance between the boats. These downpours bring the boats out in maroon.

Areas where the sea is so clean are rare. Due to the underwater source near the beach, the water becomes cool.

A path leading to the top of the sheep goes to Köyiçi after 800 meters. There are ruins from the Roman and Byzantine periods.

Ağa Port is also a jumping port. For the boats going to the north or west, it is the most suitable place to wait before Kurdoğlu Cape.
